Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe
What You’ll Need
- 1 quart of chicken broth
- 1 onion
- 2/3 pounds of chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
- 6 carrots
- 1 cup of wide noodles
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh dill
How to Make It
Start by chopping the carrots lengthwise and then cutting them into smaller chunks. Then, chop the onion. Next, get a large pot and add the broth. Put the chopped carrots and onions in the broth, as well as the salt and pepper and let it simmer over medium heat.
Add the chicken and let the soup simmer for about eight or nine minutes. Then, remove the chicken and let the soup keep simmering. Once the chicken has cooled down, cut the breasts into smaller pieces.
While the chicken is cooling, add the noodles to the soup and simmer until the noodles have softened. This should take about five minutes. Then, add the sliced chicken back to the soup and don’t forget to add the parsley!
Serve warm with crackers for maximum comfort food points. If you’re really doubling down on the comfort food angle, make sure you enjoy this on a crisp, cool day. The best drink pairings would be warm, light drinks like tea or cider.
