- 12 slices of bread
- 4 1/2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 1/3 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/3 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 6 eggs
- 2/3 cup of milk
- 2/3 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup of maple syrup
How to Make
Get a small mixing bowl and combine the cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg. Then, in a medium pan, melt the butter on medium heat. Crack the eggs open and whip them with the vanilla, milk, and spices mixture from earlier. Pour this mixture into a shallow dish, but with tall enough sides to contain the mixture.
Dip the slices of bread in this mixture and soak it well. Make sure the bread you chose is thick enough to hold the amount of the mixture it will absorb!
